Sun 31 6pm United Service with Methodists at Tavistock Methodist Church, to welcome the new Methodist minister, the Revd Pamela Stranks. All parishioners warmly invited to attend.

Advance notice:

Sun 14 September Tim Treanor ordained deacon at Exeter Cathedral. 10am. List available in church to sign if travelling on coach.

Sat 20 September 1.30pm Parish Cricket Match at The Ring, Tavistock. Priest-in-charge's XI vs Curates' XI. Cost per player £5, free tea for all family, friends.

Mon 22 September 7pm Gulworthy Harvest Festival Evensong, followed by supper in he parish hall. Preacher: Tim Treanor.

Sat 27 September 2.30pm Ordination of Reverend Paula Rennie to the priesthood, Tavistock Parish Church, followed by a celebratory tea in church. Guest preacher: The Revd Preb Mandy Rylands, Diocesan Director of Ordinands.

Sun 28 September 9.45pm 'Back to Church' Sunday. Reverend Paula Rennie will celebrate communion for the first time.

Mon 29 September 7pm (and following Mondays) an Alpha-style course (a light, all-questions asked, discussion series on the Christian faith, food and wine provided, run by churches in town together). Ordulph Arms. Contact Reverend Michael Brierley if interested.
