Sponsorship Scheme

Tavistock Parish Church was in good heart this week as it publicised a new scheme for people in the town to become its ‘Sponsors’. St Eustachius’, which has developed its activities in recent months and seen a sizeable growth in attendance, is now inviting businesses as well as residents to firm up their link with their parish church.

Sun 12 9.45am Family Communion and Thanksgiving Service (celebrate the completion of our window-cleaning, through generous donations)

Wed 15 7.30pm Lions' Carnival Concert – Tamar Valley Male voice Choir with the Jerabinka Children's Choir from the Czech Republic. Compere, BBC's Justin Leigh. Tickets £5 on the door.

Sat 18 6pm Tavistock Carnival Procession (church entry: 'Jonah and the Whale')

Sun 19 11.30am coach trip to St. Eustace's, Ibberton, Dorset, for their Centenary Service

Fri 24 – Sun 26 Lamerton celebrates 'Heaven in Devon' with Flowers, Music and Open Gardens. (Information tel: 810027)

Sun 26 2pm Gulworthy Grand Summer Fete, Hele Farm. Dog Show, Archery, Side Shows, Cream Teas, etc. Proceeds towards church roof appeal and parish hall.

Tues 28 7.30pm Exon Concert – Splendour of the Baroque, followed by Compline (at 9pm).

Wed 29 7.30pm Exon Concert – Organ Recital by Henry Parkes (Cambridge), followed by Compline.

Thur 30 12.30pm Exon Lunchtime Concert – Harp Recital

7.30pm Exon Concert – Song Recital, followed by Compline.

Fri 31 7.30pm Exon Concert – A Summer Evening with Mendelssohn, followed by Compline.
